Sandstone
Sawn or rough-cut sandstone blocks and boulders. A natural finish that looks right on older Sydney homes and gardens.
Timber
Treated hardwood or pine sleepers. Done with the right footings and drainage so it holds, instead of rotting out in a few years.
Gabion
Rock-filled wire baskets for heavy retention and erosion control. They drain on their own and suit a rugged, modern look.
