Reinforced concrete block, brick and cement retaining walls for homes, driveways and boundaries. Engineered where needed, core-filled and reinforced, with drainage behind every wall.
Reinforced concrete block walls, often called besser block walls, are one of the strongest retaining wall options for residential sites. Steel reinforcement and concrete core-fill turn the blocks into a solid structural wall that can be built taller and thinner than most other systems.
They suit driveways, boundaries, basements, pool surrounds and anywhere space is tight. They can be rendered and painted, clad in sandstone or tiles, or left as a clean face block finish.
Brick retaining walls suit lower garden walls and heritage streets where the wall needs to match the house. Taller brick walls are usually built with a reinforced block or concrete core behind the face brick.

If any of these sound familiar, it is worth a free site visit. We will tell you straight what your site needs.
Walls that carry vehicle loads close to the edge.
Slim walls that maximise usable space on tight blocks.
Engineered reinforced walls over a metre high.
Walls that also need waterproofing on the retained side.
A smooth modern finish that matches the house.
Face brick walls that match older homes.
Need a wall along a driveway or boundary? Send us photos and rough dimensions.
Every wall is built on a reinforced footing, with drainage and waterproofing designed in.
Besser block walls with steel reinforcement and concrete core-fill, designed by an engineer where required.
Face brick walls for gardens and heritage streets, with a structural core for taller walls.
Block walls rendered and painted for a clean modern finish.
Block walls clad in sandstone, stone or tiles over a structural core.
Membranes on the retained side where walls back onto living space or pools.

Every block and brick wall follows the same five steps.
We inspect the wall, the ground behind it, the drainage and what sits above it, and measure the lean, cracking or movement.
We work out why it is failing and bring in a structural or geotechnical engineer where the height, load or boundary requires it.
A written quote that sets out repair or rebuild options, drainage, access, approvals and timing. No vague lump sums.
Our crew stabilises or replaces the wall with proper footings, ag drainage, aggregate, geotextile and weep holes.
Clean site, photos of the footings and drainage before backfill, and engineer sign-off where applicable.
Reinforced footings, core-fill, drainage and waterproofing done properly, then rendered, clad or left in face block.
Block and brick walls are only as strong as the reinforcement, footing and drainage you cannot see. We build that part properly.
Every wall we build or repair gets ag drainage, clean aggregate, geotextile and weep holes. Water is what breaks walls.
Walls over about a metre, on boundaries or holding up driveways are designed by an engineer to AS 4678.
Builder Licence 384697C, $20M public liability and workers compensation on every site.
We check council rules, prepare the paperwork and lodge the CDC or DA when a wall needs one.
Concrete sleeper, timber, sandstone, gabion, block and reinforced concrete. We recommend what suits the site, not what we prefer to sell.
Family builders on Sydney sites since the 1970s, including steep blocks other builders walk away from.
Real reviews from homeowners, strata and builders.
They handled the DA, the engineer, and the build. We didn't have to chase council once. Massive wall, done in under two weeks.
Had a concrete sleeper wall built along our driveway. Perfectly level, well-finished, and the drainage is spot on. No more water pooling.
We're a strata block and needed a retaining wall replaced urgently. METCON moved fast, communicated well, and the residents are very happy.
Straight answers from the builder. Anything else, just ask.
A properly reinforced and core-filled concrete block wall is one of the strongest residential retaining wall systems, and suits taller walls, driveways and boundaries. Sleeper walls are usually quicker and cheaper for lower walls.
Walls over about a metre, on boundaries, or supporting driveways, pools or buildings should be designed by an engineer. Most taller block walls are engineered.
In almost every case, yes. Poor drainage is the number one cause of retaining wall failure. We install ag-drainage, gravel backfill and weep holes as standard on every wall.
It depends on the height and location. As a general guide in NSW:
We check your council's rules and handle the application for you.
Not sure this is the right wall for your site? Compare the other systems we build, or ask the builder.

We build concrete block, brick and cement retaining walls across Sydney and surrounding NSW.
Photos of the site, the rough height and length, and what the wall needs to hold up is enough to start.
