Custom-engineered retaining systems for difficult sites, high loads, and complex ground conditions. We build what the engineer designs, no matter how demanding the brief.
Some sites cannot be solved with a standard sleeper wall or timber posts. Steep grades, significant retained heights, surcharge loads from buildings or roads, poor soil conditions, or proximity to existing structures all demand purpose-designed retaining solutions.
We work with structural and geotechnical engineers to design and build retaining systems tailored to the specific conditions of each site. Every solution is fully engineered, documented, and built to the certified design.
This is the work that separates a building company from a landscaper. We have the equipment, the trade skills, and the experience to execute complex structural retention safely and correctly.
The engineer selects the wall type based on site investigation, geotech results, and the project requirements. We are experienced in constructing all of the following.
Poured-in-place reinforced concrete walls with steel reinforcement to engineer specifications. The strongest and most permanent retaining solution. Used where high loads, significant heights, or long-term durability justify the cost.
An L-shaped or inverted-T reinforced concrete wall that uses the weight of the retained soil on the base slab to resist overturning. Efficient for medium to tall walls where space behind the wall is available for the footing.
Walls stabilised with ground anchors or tie-backs drilled into the retained soil or rock. Used where the wall cannot rely on its own mass or base width for stability — common in deep excavations and basement construction.
Interlocking concrete or timber headers and stretchers filled with gravel or soil. A gravity system that is effective for moderate heights and provides good drainage. Often used in road and infrastructure applications.
Engineered retaining work follows a defined sequence. Every step is documented, inspected, and signed off before the next one begins.
Send us the details. If you have geotech reports or engineer drawings, include them. We will review the scope and come back with a clear plan and price.
