TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Safe Access. Minimal Disruption.

We coordinate traffic management plans, road occupancy licences, and on-site traffic control for construction projects across Sydney.

Construction and Public Roads Do Not Mix Without a Plan

If your construction site impacts a public road or footpath, you need a traffic management plan and likely a road occupancy licence. Crane lifts over roads, skip bins on the street, scaffolding over footpaths, excavation near carriageways, concrete pumping from the kerb -- all of these require formal traffic management.

Getting it wrong means fines, work stoppages, and safety incidents. Getting it right means your build keeps moving without delays and without putting the public at risk.

We prepare and coordinate traffic management plans, lodge road occupancy licence applications with council and Transport for NSW, and arrange traffic controllers, signage, and barriers. Everything is compliant with AS 1742 and the relevant authority requirements.

When You Need Traffic Management

Most urban construction projects in Sydney will trigger traffic management requirements at some stage of the build.

  • Crane lifts and mobile crane operations near roads
  • Skip bins, material storage, or equipment on public roads
  • Scaffolding or hoarding over public footpaths
  • Excavation adjacent to road carriageways
  • Concrete pump setup on streets or kerbs
  • Heavy vehicle access and turning movements
  • Temporary road closures for construction activity
  • Pedestrian diversions around construction zones

What We Coordinate

Traffic Management Plans

We prepare TMPs that detail traffic control measures, signage layouts, pedestrian management, and site access arrangements. All plans are prepared to AS 1742 standards and tailored to the specific activity and road conditions.

Road Occupancy Licences

We lodge ROL applications with the relevant authority, whether that is the local council or Transport for NSW. We manage the application timeline so approvals are in place before the work is scheduled.

On-Site Traffic Control

We arrange certified traffic controllers, compliant signage, water-filled barriers, and all necessary equipment. Traffic controllers hold current TfNSW accreditation and are briefed on the specific TMP for each activity.

How It Works

Scope Review

We review the construction programme and identify every activity that will impact public roads or footpaths. This includes crane lifts, deliveries, concrete pours, and scaffold erection.

TMP Preparation

Traffic management plans are prepared for each activity, detailing control measures, signage, and pedestrian management in accordance with AS 1742.

ROL Lodgement

Road occupancy licence applications are lodged with the relevant authority well ahead of the scheduled activity. We track approvals and follow up as needed.

Execution

Traffic controllers, signage, and barriers are deployed on the day. We confirm everything is in place before the construction activity begins.
